1) pretending you are happy with the current gas prices and
2) pretending you are suffering severely with the current gas prices while
3) pretending Vance has committed some impeachable offense by making lower gas prices goal #1 and keeping Iran from getting a nuke goal #2

I didn’t say he committed an impeachable offense. I simply said that the conflict with Iran seems to have made gas prices worse for Americans, not better. Vance is having to put lipstick on a pig.

No what you said/ implied is that someone wants you to pretend to be happy about gas prices because Trump is President.
No one wants you to pretend to be happy that gas prices are higher
What others in this thread have said/ implied is that their lives are being impacted severely by these increases. Which is as disingenuous as if someone asked you to pretend to be happy about it.
This thread was started, not because Vance is trying to put lipstick on a pig. It was started as a gotcha to Vance because he dared to put reducing the price of gas as a goal above getting rid of Irans nukes. Some in this thread have accused him of spinning or lying as a result. Your position in this thread aligns with this group in part because you are implying somebody wants you to pretend to be happy about higher gas prices which is a disingenuous position on its face

I'm not a fan of Vance whatsoever but he's in a very tough spot and I sort of feel sorry for him.
