I absolutely agree.
The bizarre phenomenon of people thinking I’m a government/cdc Biden voting lackey because I think the vaccine is helpful for at risk people and won’t sterilize you is sad commentary on the state of healthcare in this country.

Like he said, if all it does is prevent another "stimulus" or lockdown, then it's worth it many times over.
But doesn’t it prompt you to ask why it has been put forward as a condition for not having lockdowns and stimulus? Does that question somehow not matter?
Why do they want us all vaccinated?

After reading the compassion you showed in an earlier thread I was moved to tears. I would just like to take this opportunity to show my genuine appreciation for your selfless contributions to this board.
You are always such a giver and rare shining gem among us mere canaille. I know I speak for the rest of the board when I thank you for your humble service — not only to this board — but to humanity itself!

Seriously help me out here. I just looked at cases by age and deaths by age. Keeping in mind that cases only includes presented cases and does not include people who got it but never got tested. Just using the official stats you have a 99.96% chance of survival if you get the coronavirus at age 25. And considering virtually all of the people who died in that age bracket have additional problems if you happen to be healthy and 25 the number is even lower.
And again that's the risk of dying if you get the virus. Since you aren't a 100% risk to get the virus the actual risk of you dying from the coronavirus if you are a healthy 25 year old is a percentage that has at least two or three zeros after the decimal point before you get to an integer.
What rational person would go out of their way the apples to avoid the Coronavirus with such statistics much less take a medication that has not been out very long and has possible unknown risks? Seriously who would do that
I think it’s obvious what to do in this age group, and I don’t think anyone needs to worry about it being the wrong decision. The 40 to 60 age group is where I think it gets a lot more complicated on risk assessment. Most people in this age group think the are healthy when in reality they aren’t. This is also the group of people that seem the most skeptical about government and the vaccine in my personal observations.

Just heard today that there are twice as many hospitalizations as a year ago, and yet a year ago there were no vaccines. Quite a paradox.
Yeah that has me a bit confused as well.

the vaccines have been a net benefit to the vaccinated
and that is with it given the stats are honest, an extremely unlikely proposition as long as there are any Democrat/communists in government

quote:Poor immunity duration is more "science" bullshite. Duration remains to be seen. "Poor immunity" emanates from increased transmissibility of variants and decreased vax efficacy addressing them. The Pfizer CEO was hawking frequent boosters nearly from day one. It looked slimy. Moderna, AZ, and J&J were not.
Policy needs to stop being built around one vaccine with poor immunity duration.
