Calm down there Meal Team Six. Just go enlist and show them how it's done.

Always such an unintelligent and lame response.

Its gotten pretty out of hand. I pull 75% of the time so I bought a dually. Chevy High country. I agree it's overkill. However I drive 10-12 hours a day 2-3 days a week. My decision was to purchase a very nice reliable truck. I see 3/4 ton trucks all over the road most don't even on a trailer. It's crazy the amount of money these things cost nowadays.

So, the latest great news from the Navy is they are taking money from payroll to fund combat operations.
quote:

Donald Trump’s war on Iran has driven the US military into a severe financial crisis, with the US navy forced to transfer money from its payroll and other sources to cover the costs of combat, according to documents seen by the Guardian, and interviews with navy officials, contractors and defense analysts.

The US-Israeli operation, which has depleted US munitions stockpiles and prompted retaliatory Iranian strikes that have wrecked strategic bases across the Middle East, is piling pressure on budgets across the military.

One Pentagon memo about navy funding seen by the Guardian warns that there are “shortfalls in payroll” accounts due to the department “raiding” them to fund combat operations.

The article clearly states that payroll is being met and sailors are being paid.

The degrading our Navy story with the Lincoln started at the Guardian, UK news.

The Guardian is FOS, rubbish, mate. The EU UK is now not so covert on their hate of the USA-they want globalization, the great reset, no, mate?

They are near banning flags in the UK...letting the Muslims rape and sodomize their daughters.

Those Prom older ladies sound more reasonable than Carlson blaming israel for everything, no?

Thats not "news from the Navy," it's "news" from the Guardian.

It is impossible to find an article by the Guardian that isn't over the top w/ hysteria of the U.S. failing.

I've just assumed they are Chinese funded for the past two decades, or a pet project by Soros.

B747, you have your own interesting interpretation of the facts. In fact, it’s largely supposition and/or projection…

My interpretation is that one of the most powerful warships in the history of planet earth had to leave a war zone because some of its crew were homesick and undisciplined.

You have nothing but unfounded insults because you’re emotional about me calling a spade a spade. Sorry I hurt your feelings.

They did not leave because of the whining and propaganda our media and UK media gave to our enemies.

They were due to be relieved after an extension. It is the extension that is being ragged about like a tube of vagisil.

The Battered Bastards of the Bastion of Bastogne say “ you don’t even know hardship”.

The patriots at Valley Forge say” you don’t know hunger”

The Marines on Guadalcanal say “ you don’t know shortages and illness”.

Don’t even compare the crew of the Lincoln’s “hardships” with what these men endured.

That's your interpretation of what happened, not hard facts.

If your interpretation is literally true, that means Trump, Hegseth or naval commanders lack the ability to lead...

I’m not putting this on Trump Hegseth. The Navy clearly has some institutional problems in how they select and train sailors that far predate this administration. The Navy needs to take a hard look in the mirror. The crew of the Lincoln let the country down.
