Probably because they know that Iran would kick their dick in an actual war. It’s almost amazing how bad the Saudi military is despite all their fancy toys. They have no idea how to use most of it in a tactical scenario. Their troops are poorly trained, lazy, and generally out-of-shape. A corporal in our military has roughly the same decision-making power as a colonel in their’s. One issue they have is that unlike for us, joining the military is seen as a low-class occupation, beneath the dignity of people of any social standing. Because of that, they aren’t exactly getting crack recruits.

They’re even better if the Saudis pay us for their use.
