Marines are the forward deployment force. They are the tip of he spear as they like to say. When a fight breaks out you send the Marines in to kick someone's arse. They are not peacekeepers or glorified cops. They begin the process of killing people and breaking things. The southern border should be protected, but the Marines are not the people for the job. They are a blunt force object that delivers pain unto the enemy.

To be honest yes thats how former active duty feels. We can talk shite about the military and talk shite to each other but non military never earned that right.
