I won’t lie, I love a good troll on the left but if the other side is too stupid to see it’s a troll, then they use it to make your life miserable with shite like this, i am not declaring this a win.

Saw this news story last night with a left leaning friend. She was clutching pearls at the story when I pointed out that the whole OK sign as White Power thing started on 4chan.
This is a summary of the actual conversation.
“It’s just an OK symbol. 4chan started the whole WP thing as a troll.”
“I know.”
“So what’s the big deal?”
“Well people believed the troll so therefore it’s not acceptable behavior!”
“But it doesn’t mean anything. It was a joke and is still a joke.”
“Yes but people believe it therefore it symbolizes White Power and that means these Cadets must be thrown out of the Academy.”
“So you know it doesn’t mean anything yet because some people mistakingly believe it it now does mean something?”
“Exactly!”
I stare into my beer.
This is a summary of the actual conversation.
