Experts agree that although factions of the Democratic Party were responsible for the South's secession and the rise of the KKK, it is inaccurate to claim the party is responsible for either. The Democratic Party was undoubtedly the party of racism and white supremacy during and after the Civil War.
Yeah...

Why does the democrat party get a pass on their racist past while other people or institutions don’t?
The fact is neither party has a racist platform today. At least not toward minorities, however I’d say today’s Dems are racist toward whites. The parties did not switch, democrats just finally came into the mainstream with the republicans and abandoned their past racial policies

? I read the article too so curious what you find flawed.
That there was ever a realignment of the parties based on race
GOPers don’t know their own history. Probably because most of them never finished high school.

initial klan was started and funded by Democrats to act as the Democrats' street force, to go around and intimidate nondemocrats, both black and white. The reason people feared the Klan back then was because local Democrat politicians and national Democrat politicians supported the klan, and refused to use their police forces to stop them. They let the Klan run wild and continue spreading the message that was basically - "vote Democrat, or else."
Democrats have done the exact same thing with antifa and blm. These groups run wild, destroying shite, beating people, raping people... and local and national Democrat politicians support and endorse them. Refusing to allow their police forces to stop them. Antifa and blm's message is basically - "vote down or else. "
Initial klan was never really scolded for voter intimidation, neither are these new groups. But that is what it is. It's voter intimidation in its truest form and there are direct connections between antifa and blm...and many Democrat politicians.

don't you love how they strip away all context in order to come to a statement that fits their narrative

When the "fact checkers" don't like the facts, they change them.
