The bill gives Secretary Mayorkas the right—for the first time—to grant asylum claims (and thus American citizenship) to illegal aliens at the border without review by the immigration courts, which will be a massive pathway to rubber-stamping amnesty.

If this is true, Lankford needs to be dealt with.

If true, what would stop Mayorkas from giving blanket citizenship to say all Palestinians from Gaza, essentially clearing it out for Israel.

The border deal also strips states of the right to protect their borders. Honestly, could this bill be any worse

bet a lot of true conservatives will vote for this

I guess you don't understand what conservativism is about...

1. Single issue bills= common sense
2. American interest first
3. Protect the taxpayers
4. Law and order because that's the
job

This bill is 0 for 4

Here are a “dirty dozen” of disasters I’ve found in this terrible border bill… and this is just the beginning.

If all he can do is cheer as those that would vote the bill down anyway vote the bill down, what good is he?

Why are you assuming that is all that he could do.

And why are you assuming that people that people on the same side (Dem / RINO) are going to break ranks for anyone.

You seem to have this belief that a “strong president “ could align those plotting against him.

This doesn’t compute for me…at all.

No way Jose.

Speaker Johnson will send it to committee before Saturday, and will be voted on and approved by the full House a couple days later. I'm right on this one--

Looks like Senator Scott got my email.

I've emailed both my Senators and told them they better vote " Hell No".

I'm a Hades no," Scott said when asked if he would support the agreement released on Sunday evening and which will likely be voted on this week.

That’s how I read your argument. “Trump can’t be expected to bring reluctant (even recalcitrant) Republicans to the right side of the vote.

For some, Because they want to be re-elected. For others, it might be winning on something g else.

Some? Maybe. But aligning those that aren’t plotting against him but are on the wrong side of a vote, yeah - I think a strong president can get hard shite done.

And to his credit, I think Trump proved me right on this shite bill.

You are talking in circles bro.

Those ARE Republicans.

He has their votes.

It’s the RINOs that are plotting against him / us.

No, I'm not.

Three days ago what were the chances the shitty border bill was going to pass the Senate?

Today, what are the chances the border bill is even voted on in the Senate?

Somewhere between three days ago and today, some votes changed - right?

Pressure changed Republican yes votes to no. And thankfully, a lot of that pressure came from Trump.

He quite literally just demonstrated what I've been arguing he can do and you've argued is too much to expect of him.
