BTW every new hen that hatches is one less egg to eat. So building back up the 150 million chickens will take 150 million eggs out of stores.
That's not really how it works. Eggs we eat aren't fertilized so they can't hatch. Hatching eggs come from a completely separate production system.

AgCenter poultry unit is 5 months from a baby chick to a producing hen

Everybody needs to STFU about the cost of eggs. They are still very inexpensive for the amount of meals you get per dozen compared to other food items.
Those crying about egg prices are spending tons of money probably eating out regularly and also probably eat lots of fast food.

I was reading the other day that even if there was bird flu, the thing to do is just take care of them the best you can.. and the ones that don't die will be strong and acquire natural immunity. Makes a lot of sense.

No they didn't. The USDA initiated standard protocols to deal with a threat to the nation's food supply. Stop trying to make this into something it's not.
Who does the USDA work for?
The POTUS and VP.
What’s the rationale of killing 150 million healthy chickens?

Idiots killed the chickens that survived 'bird flu'

Democrats love this guy cause they gave them a "talking point". Such garbage humans to do this.
I look forward to hearing what PETA has to say about this.

Well, if they didn't slaughter them they might get bird flu and die.

Normally I'd applauded your rant. However, you fail to see that the main complaint is government incorrectly injecting itself into a food source commodity. If they can be so incorrectly extreme with eggs, what will happen if they decide on more critical issues, say like vaccines.

I wasn't aware we were in the midst of a world war...sorry

Mission accomplished Joey. You are a piece of crap.

I’m just glad the old question has been answered, and it is clear the chicken came before the egg.

Where were the news agencies on this? Surely someone at the FDA leaked this information to some reporter!?!
The lack of journalistic integrity and simple curiosity during the Biden Administration is astounding!

I’m convinced they did this solely so they could try and blame egg prices on Trump. Nothing else makes sense

I see your point. Unfortunately history is rife with examples

Egg prices are a supply - demand issue.....and nobody's fault.
When laying hens die, there are less eggs, so prices go up.

Can’t you just have a waffle and bacon at Waffle House or will today’s person just not be able to handle the stress of not having scrambled eggs too?
How fat are you? Do you even lift?
