She was already indicted, Eric

She's already been found guilty of embezzling 5 million frickin dollars. It's amazing that it even came to this. Resigning before they expelled her. She should have been thrown in prison as soon as the ethics committee found that she had stolen taxpayer money.

frick resignations. If you broke the law, you broke the law and there should be repercussions from that.

Wants to keep that pension and medical insurance.

She loses that if she is expelled.

Does she get to keep it if she resigns? If so...she should be sued and all monies she's stolen returned...and still imprison her.

Yes, that’s why they should still go through with an expulsion vote. That’s the only way she loses it.

They should just pass a law that says any member of Congress that is guilty of a felony while in Congress shall lose their pension etc.

I wonder if it can still be done.

LUNA: "These are all the things that Sheila McCormick was found guilty on, specifically pertaining to her stealing of the five million dollars of FEMA funds."

"And yes, tomorrow, because she refuses to resign after being found guilty on all of these charges, we are going to have to expel her. And yes, the votes are there."

"She's going bye-bye. In fact, the fact is, if she gets a pension, that should go too."

"But we have to, and we are currently working on amending the House rules to get that done. But this should not, this stuff right here, this should not take 3 years to get done."

"House ethics needs a complete overhaul in how they conduct themselves in regard to the timeline that they are given, because we don't want corrupt members of Congress getting taxpayer dollars. We don't want them serving."

"We don't want to work with those people. And so tomorrow, Sheila, you're going bye-bye."

"As soon as the recommendation comes in from House ethics, your colleagues, everyone, we're voting to expel you. So don't steal money."

If she is convicted of federal criminal charges, she would lose it like people who commit felonies lose their social security?
