Except for my fellow Husker who (I think is relatively new to the anti-DJT cause) the other nay-sayers on this thread are the same old cast of characters who get really active anytime a story comes out that they believe will spell doom DJT.

Simply going by their track record for quite some time now, I’m not too concerned.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I think things are finally settling into the new realities of Trump's stupid trade wars

But he'll frick it up again in a few months. That's what he does. He breaks things.

Don't worry Cubbies. Trump's new Fed chairman is about to deliver 15% GDP growth.

Just look how "historic" Warsh is going to be.

Well we didn't have a net loss of jobs But beyond the great recession and the pandemic you would have to go back to 2003 to find a worse year for jobs
Is there any chance that shrinking the federal gov work force, AI, and deporting illegals can have a positive affect on our country while also bogging down jobs numbers for a while?

I think the more likely truth is that you're just conjuring up excuses because you don't want to accept reality. You're so accustomed to binary red vs blue thinking that it isn't even possible for you to consider that even some of the policies aren't working.

Sluggish job numbers. Debt still increasing rapidly. Trade deficit increased year over year. There are real metrics that don't look great.

Sure, if we imagine negatives we can find them.

You don't have to imagine anything. Those are real numbers.

Nah. Unemployment is great, the economy is humming, inflation is down. All metrics are pointing in the correct direction.

I should feel a sense of smug superiority knowing that I have a better understanding of economics than the POTUS, but it really just scares me.

Wow lol

What on earth compelled you to post that?

I’ve simply asked you a couple questions, half being about what your opinion is regarding how bad a stretch of meh job reports are.

The other half wasn’t out of bounds at all.

We hear “experts” say AI is coming for MILLIONS of jobs very soon.

Is AI affecting job numbers yet? Even a little?
