Al Qaeda specifically isnt Shia. In fact they think Shia's are apostates and are radical sunni adherents.
Whether they would cooperate to further their own goals is unclear.
Ironically since we brought them up, the US and Israel are arming and sending AQ forces in conjunction with the other Kurdish groups into Iran to fight the regime over there. So in theory AQ would be fighting for and against Iran all at the same time in that scenario which is so dumb on our part that given our track record in that region is probably what will end up happening.

That's why the illegal actions of Democrats to allow 15-20 million unfettered illegals into the Nation is so dangerous.
You have factions in those groups who are ready to do harm.
All in the name to change elections in their favor. That is beyond criminal.
