Does anyone else see decision time drawing near because the US gov might miss out on a war if diplomacy between the N and S starts to work? I get they’ve done this before so I’d absolutely take anything they say/do with a mountain of Himalayan smoked sea salt, but tensions on the peninsula seem to be thawing and diplomacy almost seems like an achievable thing. Perhaps the Olympics and being recognized is the catalyst, who knows.

It just seems like the US is getting a bit to itchy for something to go down and doesn’t want diplomacy, are we needing something to fuel the MIC for a while since Afghanistan has to wind down soon?

Our military isn't getting suckered like the media.

There are still horrible atrocities going on over there, despite what you see on TV. And while people are wooing over lil Kim's sister, they are still revving up their nuclear program.

Just because they can smile and play nice-nice for a few days during the Olympics, nothing is fixed.

I just don’t want to see us in the position yet again of being suckered by our politicians like Vietnam and Iraq either.

I get that nothing has probably changed in NK but the rest of the world sees an opening up on the Korean Peninsula going on. If the US pushes for war during that we'll simply come across as aggressive warmongers.

Sadly, I don't see a peaceful ending here. I'm not pushing for war, get that straight.

But what Kim Jong Un and his family have done to that country is irreversible without some sort of overthrow. The world, not just the USA, can't stand by and let them have the slave labor camps that they have. The execution of thousands every year. I could go on, but you have to realize how warped it is over there.

Right now, every Olympic representative from NoKo that is in PyeongChang is under surveillance. Usually, in they Olympic village, an athlete shares a dorm with another athlete. Not NoKo. Each coach, trainer, athlete, and cheerleader has their own room with a handler. The handlers are monitoring every interaction they have with another person, too.

Do you think Kim Jong Un is going to just one day wake up and say "Was that bad? Should we not be doing this?" and end his evil ways?

Might miss out? Your kidding right? Nothing has changed in over half a century. Nothing except DJT became POTUS and your msm started pushing "War with NK" stories everyday.

Miss out? Diplomacy has been going on for decades you tard Peace was never signed. We could have attacked them in 1960, 1965, 1978, 1982, 2001 and tomorrow.

Study contemporary history a bit more. This has been going on since '53 with them in cycles. Gnome, I'm not being flippant or snarky with you, but yes, our administration is correct, and the time for "strategic patience" is nearing an end.

Check this book out: It SEEMS dated, but is actually totally relevant to this day. It was required reading when I became the Targeting Officer and ADFSCOORD for 2ID in Uijongbu in the late '90's.

NK is delaying. We can talk, but we cannot accept a nuclear NK with missiles. Real world NK developments are creating a real time deadline. Pun intended.

Like the old adage, better judged by twelve than carried by six.

The world condemnes us for nuking Japan, but hundreds of thousands of Americans got to live their lives. Probably millions of Japanese too.

No, but if he is no longer continuing development and a stable peace is found would a still nuclear armed NK be acceptable as a tradeoff.

If the family is over thrown I think those left in charge could use them as leverage to not be thrown in SK or NK jails heading to unification. But as long as that family is running things their nuke program is staying.

Fatboy is 6 months away from having His dream nukes on ICBMs. He's faking 'diplomacy' with SK to buy that time. But Trump's Military/Intel is not buying.

Bottom line. Un's Sister had better get the hell out of Her Brother's shadow if She wants to keep that pretty face intact. The day Un gets that missile ready to go, is likely His last. Book it, they've got every target pinpointed to take the legs right out from under any substantial response.
