As competent, smart and wise as Trump is he is a poor evaluation of truthfulness and character.
This is the reason the Heritage Foundation is currently evaluating possible people qualified to serve in a Republican president's executive branches in the future.
I suspect that Trump will know better next time around. He had a few stalwart assistants and appointments, but too many swarmy swamp creatures in the mix.

Trump was hired by the voters to drain the swamp. He did a lot of good for the economy, his judicial appointments were fine, he kept us safe, and he helped on the border, however, I think he polluted the swamp and did nothing to drain it. Most of his appointed are part of the problem.
