LOWER INFLATION IS GOOD FOR EVERYBODY!!!!!!!
The problem is inflation went UP in March, not down, from 2.4% in February to 3.3% in March.
quote:
The consumer price index increased a seasonally adjusted 0.9% for the month, putting the annual inflation rate at 3.3%..
The annual rate was the highest since April 2024 and up from 2.4% in February.

It’s amazing ppl believe media sources. Instead what does your spending tell you is happening. Cost of goods, car and home prices…
CNN and FOX will report total opposites.
Actual inflation is lower than government reported. Government uses outdate methods and uses limited price quotes.

Great news, lower inflation is what we need.
The fed needs to raise rates though, get it under 2%.

Inflation is just the increase in the currency supply without backing the printing up with anything of value. Since we have 24T dollars in circulation worldwide, and print 2T per year, inflation is running at 8%.
Inflation is changes in price levels. The cause varies.
If you’re going to attribute to money supply increases, you have to consider the velocity of money - what money goes after. This is why prices of some things increase more than others.
There are a lot of factors that cause inflation aside from the monetary base.

Thank you.
Absolutely correct. But it's easier for most people to talk about something they don't understand and have never looked into than to take the time to read, learn, and think.
For the rest, look into the Austrian school of economics, Mises, and Rothbard.

Prices aren't inflation, they are a result of inflation, and are non-linear.

Right, but we export a lot of inflation/currency out of the country. So prices don’t go up in lock step with printing.

There are economic inputs/variables other than printing that can cause inflation. Critical good/resource scarcity or disruption will create larger scarcity of critical goods. That will create inflation.
Easiest example is petro (which is what we're seeing in response to this Iran war).

Right. Classic definition of inflation is increase in the money supply. Check an old Webster’s dictionary.
Nowadays price increases are labeled inflation.

In nearly two-thirds of Biden’s presidency, inflation was higher than the peak rate of 3.3% under Trump

No shite. THIS was the "increased money supply" inflation from the Trump and Biden Covid spending.
