Nope.

Why else would you put known false information in a loan document?

“I just checked the boxes by the tabs the realtor had on the paperwork”
Prove me wrong.

Sounds like an opening is coming up

Uh, I don’t think that’s a defense. And didn’t she list her father as a husband or some such thing? Finally, I thought there was a third house, a rental that she listed as a second home. At some point the misrepresentations start piling up and intent can be inferred.

Only pointing out that there’s prosecution isn’t as easy as saying that she claimed a second primary residence.
I'm not versed in this.
As a resident idiot... it seems to me that one cannot have more than one primary residence. Stating more than a single primary residence is lying. Lying on purpose. It isn't a matter of opinion. These types of paperwork define the legal meaning of primary residence, do they not?

Sorry. I don’t believe anything they report.

So a state prosecutor and attorney i believe is going to sign legal documents without reading them?
If my tax account has me sign off on $0 taxes owed I’m good?

I know that excuse wouldn't get MY arse out of hot water.

This means we can claim all of our homes as primary residence to save tens of thousands of dollars in interest.
THAT IS AWESOME!!
Exactly! What screams "laws for you, but not for me", more than this????
Also, a typical DEI hire running cover for another "sista" DEI hire...

Sometimes yes. Intent is an element to this particular crime.
I googled as to whether or not James has prosecuted mortgage fraud cases... just to see if she were familiar with the laws regarding such.
Guess what I found?

New York Attorney General Letitia James has actively pursued mortgage fraud cases throughout her career

How can there be no probably cause when she had two homes listed as primary?
I don’t know how she listed it, but you can list a home as your primary residence and another home primary domicile.
Lots of politicians have a primary domicile in DC even though their primary residence is in their home state. Their kids go to school in the DC area and their spouses have jobs in the DC area. Retired Senator Roy Blunt from Missouri spent most of his time in DC in his private domicile and moved there when he left office. His wife runs a successful lobbying firm in DC and his son former Governor of Missouri also lives in Washington DC.
I don’t know how she listed it, but it’s not that unusual to have a primary resident and primary domicile.

Is ignorance of the laws a valid excuse?
But if you or I did it and claimed ignorance, something tells me we wouldn’t be avoiding charges so easily.
