Of course he is! After all, he’s a Russian double agent!

the people in Eastern Ukraine
...are descendants of Russian transplants put there by Stalin when he was trying to subjugate Ukraine by relocating the Cossacks out. This was done in conjunction with the forced collectivization and subsequent famine to force Ukraine's fealty to the USSR when millions of Ukrainians were starved to death.
Maybe all those Russians in eastern Ukraine need to go back to Russia.

That's a lie.
There was one single time in history when NATO Treaty Article 5 was invoked, and it didn't involve the US going to anyone else's aid.

That's right. So far this has been two parties, Trump and Putin.

"
What happens when North Vietnam runs out of men?
What happens when Afghanistan runs out of men?"
These wars you mention lasted decades and nearly wiped out factions of their populace. There are as many young Russians dying in a war they likely do not believe in either. While it may not seem "fair", life and war are two things that are rarely "fair". If Russia keeps some of the currently occupied eastern Ukraine and the remainder of Ukraine can live in peace, I fully support this deal. I am sick and tired of seeing young men die on a battlefield in horrific ways because we chose to meddle in the affairs of others.

All wars end with negotiations. Z is an idiot for not being at the table."
You are absolutely correct. You are either at the table or you are on the menu. The US was forced to participate in trying to solve this when the last administration gave the go-ahead to use American weapons to attack deep within the Russian boundary. That was a serious escalation.

Thanks for the history lesson. Now tell us what Ukraine was prior to the fall of the Soviet Union. Let’s say from the 17th century until then.

So, all of those people currently living in Eastern Ukraine need to stop speaking Russian and only speak in Ukrainian? They've lived there for generations without any problems and suddenly in 2014, everyone hates Russians, and they need to leave.
With your logic, maybe you should leave your home and go back to Europe where you belong.
In a way I agree with you, my wife never understood why her aunt didn't leave in 1991 and come back to Russia. Ukraine is a total third world country complete with daily brown outs, etc. This was before the war.
Ultimately though, it won't matter. They're not going to leave because Eastern Ukraine is about to be annexed into Russia.

Why do you keep lying? Seriously kid.
We’ve met with Z many times. He was first to the table. Even during his nap time.

Trump continues to quip silliness and some still act like they believe it. Embarrassing…

What do you people expect the head of state to do when his country is invaded by an armed force?
He should do what Germany should have done in September of 1944, after it was clear that he had lost the war - as Rundstedt exclaimed "Make Peace, you fools!"
Ukraine has lost the war, unless US military ground forces are sent into the fight.

Ukraine was a collection of medieval duchys and ethic states until the 1600’s when bit by bit, modern day Ukraine joined the Russian Empire by various treaties and military alliances. It’s a complicated relationship, and one that we’d be smart to stay tf out of beyond ending this war.

That's between Russia and Ukraine, and is really none of our business except insofar as we may engage in our age old tradition of profiteering from it. As long as Ukrainians are willing to fight for their sovereignty (which has been going on since 1650), they should fight as means allow.
BTW, profiteering generally doesn't involve giving arms away for free.

The only sane post you’ve made in this thread.
Now, what would you have us do? Continue to fund until they run out of fighters, then leave Putin to sack Kyiv and plunder the vast resources there? Send in US troops? Let Europe deal with the problem, which virtually assures Russian victory if we don’t intervene -ie WW3? Or do exactly what we are doing now; letting Z know the gravy train is over and a peace deal must be made, while reassuring Putin that we don’t want an adversarial relationship.
