The difference is republicans learned from these mistakes and purged the party of neocons. Now Democrats are the war mongers - lauding the Bushes and Cheneys- and profiting handsomely from it. That doesn’t bother you?
As far as this invasion you keep harping about, these borders in central and Eastern Europe have been disputed since the fall of the Soviet Union. Remember Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia? Georgia and South Ossetia, or Azerbaijan, Moldova, etc. We need peace, an alliance with both nations to ensure that peace, trade deals to ensure American interests are served, and to stop meddling in their political affairs outside of the scope of the peace agreement.

Ukraine can't win this war and they never could. Even with US and EU money, they can't win. The only option that leads to Ukraine winning is the US and EU providing weapons and soldiers.
The US and EU are not committing to WW3 for Ukraine. Russia knew that going in which is why they invaded.
Many of the European countries that insist they support Ukraine still depend on Russia for energy. What message do you think that sends to Russia when these countries insist they want to stop Russia but send them millions every day?
The losers get punished in war. Russia isn't the loser. How do you not see that this is all just one big political game being played by all sides with people's lives?
