If you don’t know by now, you should probably just throw the three names in a hat and close your eyes….

Leaning towards Emonds but would consider Wagley. Definitely not Miguez, he doesn't even live here.

Edmonds because he had been involved in the St George fight and he’s local.

Miguez. He’s a whole lot younger than Edmonds, unlike Wagley he has actual experience in office as a legislator for the upper and lower chambers of the state’s legislature, and he’s a bit more charismatic/likeable than either other candidate from my perspective. I think these factors all equate to him being a much stronger and well suited candidate for Congress.

If he wins does he plan to move into the district? Don’t you think that’s important?

Wagley is the one I am hearing is best.

Blake is pro CCS (lots of donors from these companies) and his voting record is not great. Same with Edmonds.

I'll add that Blake Miguez is endorsed by Club for Growth (that he is very proud about) which is a globalist group that prioritizes international economic integration over US workers/domestic manufacturing. Follow the money.

I think what’s most important given the slate of candidates are the points I mentioned. We’re not talking about Miguez running against Garret Graves or a fellow legislator who lives in the district that is actually impressive and has longevity. If, for example, Franklin Foil or Dixon McMakin had chosen to run I think that point might hold more weight. That’s not the case though so given the options Miguez is the strongest choice.

Are you suggesting this is a strength?

I threw out Edmonds because he is too damn old for this and I am old myself. As I said in the Letlow/Fleming primary I was not voting for a 75 yo to go to Congress.

I don’t recommend that because it would be a waste of money to have to go buy a new one and time required to pick up the debris.

No, it is a well defined statement, not a suggestion.
