When Trump gets re-elected, shouldn’t in year maybe 3, one retire and then another a little later???
Would give him a couple more spots.
Edit to say that Obama and his people played it wrong — they counted on what’s her name winning — RBG should have retired and not toughed it out. Cest la vie!

A second-term Trump will almost certainly have 1 more justice due to the march of Father Time(tm) (Breyer).
But Thomas AND Alito could also retire after one of the next 2 or 3 terms giving Trump the potential to place 3 more (total of 6) justices who will likely be serving into the 2040s.
Outside chance of 7 (Sotomayor is not terribly old, but her health isn't fantastic.)

So, Trump might replace Breyer (lefty) and give some wiggle for Thomas and Alito to retire while knowing good constitutionalist will get picked. :-)

There has been a lot of smoke that Robert's had his balls too close to some under-age girls (Epstein) and the left blackmails him with that, resulting in his head scratching rulings.
