Agree, there are several videos of people being shot by “peaceful protesters”.

I have a hard time believing that the 1st five rounds are not from the rifle. The report is longer and drawn more out with a deeper echo than the last 3. The last 3 shots are sharper, less echo. I can sense the power of the round in the first 5, not as much in the last 3. The fact that the cameraperson is hiding wouldn't change this unless the phone was placed in the pocket or covered somehow.

If I had to guess, the recoil shocked Mr. Foster and his first round was his most "accurate" and he missed, leading to successive misses as he doesn't have the time/knowledge/muscle memory to keep the weapon on target.

Can the shooter still walk given Garrett had the gun coming up to the car?

Absolutely. You don’t have to wait for a guy to shoot you before you’re defending yourself.

The first round of shots heard on the video is from the car. The second round is Garrett's friend firing back. Don't let them lie to you.

1st 5 rounds were not a pistol. Point blank range of an automobile, and you miss? The interview prior to the incident clearly indicated this guy was looking for trouble. He found the wrong guy.

This supports the still image earlier in this thread. Looks like Garrett is holding the AK downward. Wouldn’t make sense to fire 5 warning shots downward.

That supports nothing. That's what a still image is. A "snapshot" in time. He could have literally been in the process of raising the rifle when the photo was taken.

It's pretty hard to believe that the rifle toting dead guy wasn't the one that fired the 5 rifle-sounding rounds. The most telling evidence is that that banshee doesn't start wailing until after the final 3 shots. Those are the ones that took out Garrett, in self defense.

I guess that could’ve happened.

It doesn’t change much.

It’s weird watching people lie about things you can see. An Austin city councilman said it was sickening watching the car barrel through the protesters.

You're driving a car, and it gets surrounded by a mob, and someone with an AK 47 starts threatening you (and possibly fires a few rounds off). There is no organized law enforcement coming to your aid. You are forced to shoot your way out of this.

You are currently in:
a) Mogadishu
b) Beirut
c) Medellin
d) Austin, TX

Who picks D out of this list, before this weekend?

I'm waiting on the big-name D's to take a loss on this, and throw the guy under the bus. I mean, this is why soccer moms are buying Glocks instead of cleats for the kids right now. It's a fricking nightmare scenario for America.

yeah i saw lots of arguing about this on the LM post comments

some people said he "ran a red light" and others said he took a (legal) right on red

some say he "barrelled into protesters" and others say he did everything not to

There’s at least one video out there showing the car making a right into the direction the “protestors” were coming from. Then it appears that the car quickly stops. Presumably because there were idiots in the middle of the street.

that's the whole idea behind these "protests"

it's been this way since before Charlottesville, even

show up, start a fight, and then when there is a response, claim that you were innocent and saintly and you're facing unlawful response

Wanted it to be said again.

That’s what the caption of a video says. I still haven’t seen the car move.

Liberal Hank, who is an attorney (not sure if he has ever mentioned that) says video evidence is the worst kind of evidence.

You should be more “objective”.
