We’re booked for flights from Fresno to Denver and then Nashville on October 19th… using Southwest with return flights on the 24th. For my brother in-law’s wedding just outside of Bowling Green.

Maybe they’ll have a Zoom option for us.

If the pilots and truckers went on strike against these mandates it would all be over in a week. As soon as stores start running out of food things would get real very quickly.

Agree, the thing is truckers don't have a mandate yet to push against

Pisses me off how no one is asking the right questions right now

Obviously this is due to the vaccine mandate. I live in DFW and was listening to local talk radio all week and many Southwest employees were calling in to say they will quit or retire before getting the shot. Not one Southwest employee who called in said they would be getting the shot from what I heard.

Yet the media and SWA are working in tandem to keep that under wraps.

Why?

I’m guessing the Union is using plausible deniability with their statements? That there is no walkout, but pilots may be doing things independently.

Guess they have to toe the line to show good faith effort?

What I've read is it is illegal for them to organize a walk off the job, so the union has to deny, even if they know that's what is happening.

While I disagree to a certain extent, they certainly help with severity and the resulting impact on hospitalizations.

Even if it did, mandates have no place in a free society.

The mandates have also left us with far fewer beds due to nurse and doctor shortages.

If the vaccine buries symptoms, that means the vaxxed are spreading it because they don't even know they have it.

This whole vaccine things has only made everything worse.

Because they are all working in tandem. If there was a Repub as Prez then it would be front page news and on every show on TV.

I’m supposed to fly SW Tuesday from Hou to Dal… I’d imagine those routes will be the last to cancel, but if it happens, I will laugh.

Good that someone is stepping up and playing hardball…. Got to figure, this weekend and SW mandate has cost the company 10s of millions of dollars

Lol! I’m sorry, I know you were simply asking a rhetorical question.

When SW melted down late June/early July earlier this year my in-laws got caught when SW canceled a whole day of flights from Dallas to Austin. So don't assume anything

Houston is their second hub, so they will HAVE to be running crews back and forth. Plus the amount of biz flyers. They would really F up by canceling that route if given the choice.

But there are flights almost every hour, so could easily cut that in half
