So true.

Having said that, as a republican I'm ready to discuss real cuts right now.

this is stupid and it's like you never learn. you post this garbage like the president can just snap his fingers and everything goes away. you call out trump without mentioning congress.

what is the point of this post? trump has already shown that he is trying. congress wants to earmark EVERYTHING and you blame trump. then people like you complain that we have to protect against trump becoming a fascist dictator. MAKE UP YOUR MIND

Trump is their daddy. If it was Obama they'd be yelling at the monitor with a mouth full of kraft singles.

Have a DV for being clueless as to the nature of supposedly "frozen debt" over Obama's last year.

at what point does this country become Trump's burden? Will y'all continue to blame Obama throughout his term? Remember when Obama was blaming Bush for everything? Remember how this board responded? What changed?

By pointing out the hypocrisy of the liberals being concerned with the debt, that’s a bitch move? If you’re triggered by what I pointed out, go find your safe space.

He didn't seem to be too triggered, really. At all, tbh.

But even if he is, it's still a deflection and yes, still a bitch move.

So Trump is only on pace to increase our debt by 3.2 Trillion over 4 years.
Well the deficit increased by like 100 million in 2017 compared to 2016, and the current fiscal year deficit is out is well above last year's already. In addition, there are huge increases in the defense budget proposals, not enough to be offset elsewhere, that spending depart look to be doing anything but increasing. Add that fact that they government will likely bring in less because of the tax reform, that only makes it more likely especially given that the 3% GDP growth is far from a sure thing to offset it. And that's not a negative on the reform, just our poor spending. Finally, the debt interest is starting to incease substantially.

So we seem doing be doing our best to keep up with the Obama debt trend, which is a terrible standard to be anywhere close to, especially since economy is doing fine.

He doesn’t seem triggered to you because you’re triggered as well. Obama just had eight years in which he more than doubled the debt. Every attempt the republicans made to try and use the power of the purse in order to control the spending spree was met with the democrats and the media making a huge deal about how the government was going to shut down and the whole damn country was going to fall into a existence where the lives Amish would be a normalcy for everyone, or that the republicans wanted to push grandma and grandpa over the cliff, yes according to the democrats the republicans wanting to slow the spending spree was actually just an attempt to kill everyone and everything. You have no platform to cry foul about spending and the deficit.

I didn’t realize 90proof was such a sky screamer. Damn. He’s almost worse than Rex at this point literally waiting to post negative news and then act like an arrogant a-hole towards everyone.

If I'm the one who's triggered, why are you the one writing endless-sentence walls of text crying "but Obama"?

You still blame Bush and Republicans to this date.

Always nutting up for your boy.

Strange as you say you don't pick sides.

Lay out Obama failures.

It comes to a head when interest rates rise.

That's why I'm skeptical of the Fed raising the Fed's Fund rate really fast. The Fed doesn't want to piss off congress. They could put a halt to congress' profligate spending really fast if they wanted to.

The Fed Funds rate has very little to do with long term rates.
