State government represents its people. Voters will decide next election on the outcome.

People in this thread are missing the point. The bottom line point is that a lot of companies have just decided to be fricking idiots and wade into the political Arena which is idiotic because no matter which side they go with they're pissing on tens of millions of customers

But on top of that in this particular case Delta was hoping to get a freebie from a state full of people they just chose to piss on

That's dumb no matter which side of the issue you're on. I don't know who has hubs in California but here's a thought. If you want freebies from the state Governor of California you probably don't want to come out as strongly pro-gun

The best policy in basically all of these situations is to shut the frick up and do business

Delta’s company culture changed in the mid to late 1990’s. They hired a Homosexual CEO (he was “married” to a woman) and he hired a bunch of other younger Homosexuals into upper management that are still with the company today. There were stories of the janitors catching these Delta employees in conference rooms after hours sucking cocks and other sex acts. Sick shite. That is how all of the social justice warriors got into Delta.

So I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume you’re not okay with trump selecting his private pilot to head the FAA. At least that is what I understand based on your quoted statement.

I'm not sure you understand the dynamics here. Delta could frick Atlanta 6 ways to Sunday if they wanted to play hardball

Haha no. If delta would pull out of ATL there would be SWA or AAL at the gates before the last delta sign went down. Delta needs heartsfield Jackson. Atlanta would be fine with what ever major airline hubs their.

I don’t live in Georgia, and I rarely fly Delta. But I’ll say it again here: If Delta doesn’t want to support the NRA, they shouldn’t be threatened.

Partially incorrect.

Delta was supporting its customers who favor the NRA with a product/service/discount that encouraged them to pick Dealt over another airline. That is all.

What would be the feeling if a liberal administration took a tax benefit away for someone that was partnered with a conservative lobbying organization?

Obama administration says hello. They picked the winners and losers in "green" energy. Hell, they attacked fossil fuels and damn near destroyed the coal industry.

They also used the IRS to favor liberal groups while simultaneously discriminating against conservative groups.

Excuse me if I don't care about Delta hurting themselves for playing politics instead of running their business. This is what the old saying "the shoe is on the other foot" is all about.

Point being this is when Delta aligned with GLAAD and other organizations who claim to be non-political but really are. The company culture was strategically changed by a closeted Homosexual and those effects are still prevalent today. No company should be aligning with any of these organizations be it the NRA or GLAAD.

It’s a lot more diifcult to move a hub the anyone here is acknowledging. Plus if delta leaves plenty of other airlines would jump at the chance to move in . There are only so many airports in the us that can handle being the hub for one of the large carriers . Plus ATL with its location is a good fit for international flights to the east .

You can debate whether it’s smart or dumb in the long term but Delta opened the political door. And I don’t see them going anywhere because they get a ton of other freebies and benefits from GA. Just not their gas anymore, as of right now.

Delta isn’t going anywhere. They’ve invested too much capex and don’t want to give up their cheap labor.

I would welcome more competition here in Atlanta. I just booked a $1032 flight to Shreveport. Cheapest competitor was American at $243 but with a connection and hours added on.

I am from a Delta family and feel they screw over Atlanta travelers.

They aren't going to have to
This is all posturing
Again, Delta runs ATL, not the other way around

Fly out of Charlotte or into NOLA. Problem solved.

Also, a quick search shows flights on Delta, on the weekends, from ATL to Shreveport for $281, round trip.

You got fricked for no reason.

Perhaps Mississippi can persuade Delta to move to Jafrica.

Tax breaks out the wazoo.

This is completely wrong. Had you said “AAL/US runs Charlotte” maybe I’d agree with you but you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
