We have not "fallen so far behind."

The communists who stole the election and installed the anti-American admin in place are purposefully putting America behind

I was just in Tijuana where they have pharmacies everywhere like we have Starbucks. Each one I visited I made sure to check out their baby formula shelves. All of them were fully stocked. Something stinks, other than what I’m Biden’s depends.

When you realize it's intentional, it makes a lot more sense.

As they should. Every country should prioritize its citizens over others. It’s a shame that the US doesn’t

If Dems are going to allow illegals to flood into the country, the least they could do is ask that they each bring a few cans of that sweet, sweet baby formula with them for Americans.

While we’re at let’s repeal the Jones act and the dredging act of 1906!

Cwill, I do wonder why they have never done a "carve out" in the Jones act for Puerto Rico, it does drive up the cost of everything.

For those of you not familiar with it, it was put in place to protect local US shippers. When a container ship lands in the US they drop their goods at one destination. They cannot drop some at Long Beach, sail up to LA and then on to San Francisco.

Since PRico is a US territory, the container ship cant stop there. If it does, it drops off 2% of its load, and then would have to transfer the entire load to another ship. So they just sail by PRico, wave, go on to Miami, offload everything, and the containers for PRico are then reloaded onto another ship and head back to PRico. It wastes a lot of time and a lot of money for people on the island.

It’s one of the reasons the NE is buying LNG loads from, get this, Trinidad! Ha!

quote:

Where’s that gas come from? Despite more than $50 billion of recent investment into LNG liquefaction plants in Texas and Louisiana, you won’t find any American freedom gas being delivered into Boston. Instead, because of a law called the Jones Act (which requires ships carrying goods from one U.S. port to another to be U.S. owned and flagged), the gas that lands in Boston has historically been sourced from fields in Trinidad & Tobago, Norway, and Russia.

LINK

And a significant reason for the supply chain issue is the dredging act of 1906! But dafiff knows better!

Maybe we can loosen the fda limitations on imports from Canada, Mex and EU

Like many items, they are all made in China.

Mexico, Canada, and the EU are just middle men taking their cut.

No other country in the world has its infant formula controlled by four corporations, and no other country refuses to import baby formula.

Now do media corporations.

How about this answer for you which is in line with what lefties like you have been telling conservatives bitching about media control censoring conservatives…”If you don’t like it, go build your own baby formula factory.”

During an inspection that spanned multiple dates in January, February and March, FDA investigators found Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria in several areas inside the plant.

ZERO contamination of the plant machinery has been found.

Wait for it…

quote:

In the end, however, testing by the FDA and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that the genetic sequences of the Cronobacter samples from inside the plant did not match any of the bacteria isolated from the sick children or the formula inside their homes, so there was no link found to the Sturgis facility. Genetic samples from sick babies also did not match each other, suggesting that there was no link between their cases, Abbott said in its news release. Cronobacter bacteria is commonly found in the environment.

Btw that’s from an exposé by CNN on how this is a man-made crisis created by the incompetence of the Biden Administration, the FDA, & the CDC.

If they have no shortage but we do.. hummmm

I'm sure it isn't manufactured in the US. Nestle manufactures it in Latin America for Latin American markets. Their plants here in the US aren't part of the problem.

Do some research into why the Abbott lab here in the US was shut down. That's a big part of the problem. Abbott and the FDA fricked up.

If Coke had to shut down all their bottling plants in the Southeast, there wouldn't be any Pepsi left on the shelves, either.

Because it’s Mexico. Their store employees actually work

Of course our store shelves will be empty when no one wants to work

Those prices no way are American or Mexican. You are not getting that price on any item or even it it was doubled

Don't know about the pricing, as the pic could be old. But looks to be Mexico as the only non-spanish labeled say "HEB Hits." HEB being a mostly southern Texas grocery, and per their site have locations in northern MX.
