A July 29 hard landing of a United Airlines Boeing 767-300ER in N641UA not just caused significant damage but is under National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation. According to the NTSB’s preliminary report, the aircraft “sustained substantial damage” from a hard landing.

One rough landing
United Airlines Flight 702 was an uneventful flight with a Boeing 767-300ER from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Houston, Texas right up until the hard landing. According to the NTSB’s preliminary report, while landing at IAH, the First Officer was flying and, despite best efforts to keep the nose wheel from bouncing,

I fly every other week between United and SW and you can tell a stark difference between the pilots of the two groups.

And your assessment would be what? Which stands out better in your mind?

A president that cared about the people would ground every airline that uses DIE for pilot selection.

Passengers should be able to view who their pilot will be along with their stats for flights (how many, how long, any crashes etc..)

Any First Officer on a B767 is not going to be a hire from a recent DEI initiative. A recent DEI hire simply isn't going to have the seniority number to hold a 767 line. Someone at UA would have to have been on property for at least 8-10 years to hold a crappy or reserve wide body line.
