One lesson from this is to at least have an AR upper chambered to a less popular ammo type so that you can still buy ammo when people freak out. There is still plenty of non .223/556 ammo in stores.

This is good advice.

Last time an intruder tried entering my property, I politely asked him if he was ready to die.

Because he can say that, even if it's 1 out of 50 million, Hank's statement is correct.

Hank doesn't believe even a tenth of what he implies. He uses this board to sharpen his arguing skills. That's all.
Hank is way too smart, to believe most of the stuff that he spouts. He wants to be a great arguer. He's pretty good too.
He's probably a pretty good lawyer.
He wants to be the type of arguing lawyer that we see in movies, but never ever see in real life. He's practicing. I bet he has another liberal site that he goes to, to argue stuff the other way.

Get down to the brass tacks, Hank is a hangeriner.

But in the movies, they always seem to be able to hit from far away, it's the machine guns up close that seem to have a lot of trouble.

There are different types of rounds. Some are fast and straight, unless there is a gust of wind. Others that you lob in like a mortar. The big heavy freight train ones are dependable.

No, they have been standing around calling law abiding gun owners, nuts; waiting for a crisis to buy one.

It's really weird most people would be buying AR's...it's not like it's the most popular platform sold or anything

Kind of like complaining when guys have difficulty backing up their boats.

We were all inexperienced when we started and we learned.

My SKS came with a bayonet. Why do you need ammo?

Blade or spike?

The one I bought for $80 in the 90’s has the spike. I later bought a blade one at a gun show because, why not?

Mine too. I bought the Chinese Norinco SKS with foldable spike bayonet for $50 when they first hit the market back in the 90s. Took forever to clean all the cosmoline off.
