What exactly do they do with all that money they receive? Do they use it just for research or do they actually spend some of that money on physical repairs of what they preach are deteriorating?
Research and spreading the message about global warming, brother.

When the “true believers” in progressive coastal utopia like NYC and San Fran start evacuating en mass from the areas which will be most impacted by rising seas, I might believe that they believe. Until then it’s just histrionics meant to embellish the need for whatever they are selling at the moment.
Funny thing is, libs preach this doomsday shite but never do anything to prep. Conservatives are skeptical but are prepped for every apocalypse imaginable. Except for me, if shite hits the fan I’ll be pimping my wife out for peanut butter and sardines by weeks end.

China is pretty bad but the US is in second place, not sure what you are trying to imply about India etc.
American pollution, per product produced, is much lower than China and India.

How much grant money do these scientists need to save us from this impending catastrophe?
Bingo.
One of the pillars to get funding from IDB, World Bank, UN is tying it to climate change. So they give funding to some third world country for a hydro project, give it a bunch of publicity, and say "look at what these countries are doing why cant the US do more", forgetting the fact its your taxpayer dollars that built it.
But you ever notice they rarely show the end result, cause they gave the contract to a cousin and never finished it. Unless its the gondola system in Latin America you paid for to transport people from the hills to downtown. I forget the project, an enormous amount of money for some "cute" project so people did not have to walk.
China pollutes now worse than the US and Europe combined. And last month they cranked up the pollution to try and keep the economy from grinding to a halt. All the efforts in the world cant stop the increases as long as "the darling of the paris accord" china keeps increasing it carbon footprint.
And the paris accord has a beautiful benchmark, as long as your gdp grows faster than the pollution, you are doing a wonderful job.

It was also around that time that George Bush bought 300,000 acres of wasteland in Paraguay....which just happened to be sitting on one of the largest freshwater aquifers in the world.

Seems like I heard all of this 25 years ago and alas, nothing has changed. How strange.
