How about that government run free healthcare system!!

So compassionate!

So caring!

So mindful of the "right to healthcare"!

quote:

COVID-19 patients with learning disabilities have reportedly been given a "do not resuscitate" order in the United Kingdom during the second wave of the pandemic, the Guardian reports.

Younger people with learning disabilities, aged 18-34, are 30 times more likely to die that others of the same age group, according to Public Health England.

Interestingly enough these learning disabled adults probably have a higher IQ than many of the immigrants pouring into Britain

This is perfectly logical if you have a national health care system that is always forced into rationing. Rationing is like triage on a battle field. You ignore the people that probably won't get better.

When Americans hear the argument 'Free health care for all will result in rationing' they have no idea what that means.

They'll conveniently ignore this as they already know they're complicit in their deaths amongst voting a Pedophile into the White House.

I do agree but the way it is marketed is, that all will be treated and that it is the most humane and compassionate healthcare system ever.

That's false advertising.

ETA: Rationing also flies in the face of the "healthcare as a right" theory.
Every time rationing happens rights are denied routinely.
Doesn't sound like much of a right to me.

Is the UK using the term “learning disabled” like they use the term “Asian” (to describe criminals from the Middle East)? Are they actually describing the severely retarded? That still doesn’t make it right, but it’s makes it slightly less absurd. My middle school math teacher was both brilliant and dyslexic. Seems like a bad reason for a DNR. Gotta watch out for limey newspeak.

Turns out free health care isn't free for everyone. But hey at least they won't incur insurmountable debt before being buried.

When the actuaries are also the payers, as they are in every government system, this will always be the end result.
