It's kind of shocking. Corbyn seemed like "the man who killed Labour (non-Blair edition)" 3 months ago but their manifesto (I think that's the term its been a while since I've worked with LP folks) was far more concise than May's and May ditching the debates was just unconscionably short-sighted.

Johnson is smart but also a walking gaffe machine, doesn't the Tory elite have some sort of charismatic back bencher they can promote and manipulate.

Also doesn't that still have May as a 2:1 favorite?

You're never going to see this kind of SNAP election ever again attempted regardless of whoever is in the majority.

Lesson learned for everyone.

Yep! I'm not sure anybody understood why she would do that.

I mean unless the polling is so astronomically sky high that there is no hope of losing the election and it is as guaranteed as the sun rising in the morning, you should never ever leave this up to something so unpredictable as the voter.

I can't think of anything more unpredictable and unreliable than the collective mood and psyche of a free population of millions of voters.

True, but Italy has had what 2 governments last more than 24 months since WW2?

Boris will be PM by Aug 1

He turned it down last time because he saw this coming.

Now, they will literally be begging him to replace May.

Corbyn even has the same strikingly wormy appearance as Neville Chamberlain.

British polls kind of suck apparently, so maybe a huge lead isn't really a huge lead. With such a variable as the basis for taking a risk with such downside, it's asking for trouble.
