May's big gaffe was the dementia tax.

UKIP is finished.

However, they will still inhabit the fringe as people entertain the notion and ideas of Ukip yet refrain from embracing the party.

Could you name some notions and ideas of UKIP? Other than 'frick the Romanians'?

Can't believe May called the election then turned around and said she was too busy to attend the debate

It is par to the kind of leadership she has offered thus far. She is not helping to assuage people with her timidness.

No, that is essentially their platform although I think your statement of Romanians is unnecessarily narrow. "frick Europe" is much more accurate.

Considering the party has no seats to lose, only to gain, I fail to see this supposition. I think it is possible that the recent terrorist attacks could reignite their spark, at least a little.

If that exit poll is true then this was a disaster for Theresa May

Does this help you out?

"Thanks Hugo Chavez for showing that the poor matter and wealth can be shared. He made massive contributions to Venezuela & a very wide world. He showed us there is a different and a better way of doing things. It’s called socialism, it’s called social justice.”

Upvoted, with a caveat: fish and chips should have been in an official campaign guac bowl.

UKIP's entire 'we need Brexit' campaign was that too many Romanians and Poles were coming over and taking 'British jobs'. It rarely touched on Islam until right before Brexit (although many of their leadership could be trolled into nonsense Muslim bashing - for example, the hilarious 'Westminster Cathedral is a mosque' gaffe).

They have no seats. They will gain no seats. The Trout has spent more time in the US with Trump than he has in the UK trying to keep his party (and it is his party) afloat. And they have gone completely off the deep end over the last few months. They'll be the BNP by the next election.

Well, Jeremy Corbyn is a crazy person, so you probably don't want him to be the PM.

And the only parties that are willing to form a coalition with the Tories with few massive concessions are the Unionists in the O6, who are both crazy and scandal-ridden, so you don't want that.

The best case scenario would be a Tory majority.

May called for the election on April 18. The move seemed to make sense at the time; Conservative consistently led Labour anywhere from 20 to 30 points in opinion polls and an election victory would help establish her leadership and probably strengthen her party's power in Parliament. Remember, she assumed control from David Cameron and has yet to lead her party to election victory.

However, since the call for election, there have been two sensational terrorist attacks that have resulted in the deaths of 30 people. May's leadership in response these events has been hesitant and reserved. The domestic manifesto has offered little in way of inspiration. She has been quiet on Brexit, some would even say she has dragged the feet on the issue. Finally, she has done very little in terms of campaigning and convincing people that she is the person to lead Britain in these times. It is as if she almost expected a good result without the need to persuade people on her stewardship.

All of this has led to the uncertainty we are in regarding the outcome of this election. I still expect the Conservatives to win but it will be far from the bang that was initially envisioned by some.

Scotland may be the chink in Labour and the SNP. A number of Torrie and Lib Dem projected pickups. So says Sky News.

One of the Labour Shadow Ministers said to take this exit poll with a grain of salt. Highly unreliable.

Hmmm

So if the lefty kook wins will they have his darling Shadow Home Secretary as Home Secretary?

If that happens the UK should start giving out knives as welcome gifts to all the new Muslims they let in.

I had no idea they had CBC style politicians over there

Actually, I could care less about the results.. not my country, not my business. I ask the question bc I want to see if the media coverage is against the MAGA crowd.

While I can agree that their campaign touched on Islamism little, I still think that your other point is an oversimplification. The motivation was much broader than Romanians and Poles taking British jobs. While that was indeed a flashpoint, the thrust encompassed a whole set of issues with Brussels, the power and control invested in the EU, and how that power and control was utilized regarding Britain and its sovereignty. The points included trade, human rights, subsidies, budget, agriculture, legal, and finance, among others.
