You’re dreaming. He’ll plead guilty and they’ll definitely go for the death penalty in the penalty phase. Not sorry to disappoint you, but he will be executed for this.

I'm sure the Governor and the President were just full of shite when they both said they'd pursue it.
I don't think that the statute in Utah that would permit the death penalty includes this murder. We looked at it earlier this morning.

What’s the reasoning for that?
The applicable Utah statute.

Unlikely he would plead guilty if he doesn't get a deal that takes the DP off the table. What would be the point of pleading?
He will get just go to trial if that is the case.

When you say “neurodivergent” you mean a weird kid who is online too much and has a touch of fig? Yeah. I’m getting neurodivergent as well.

I think this is one of those cases that is going to trial no matter what.

Mother is a social worker. Shocked. Maybe the people who say mental health could’ve fixed this and blah blah blah should STFU now.

The rest of that mother fricker's life hopefully is quite short. He is facing both the death penalty in Utah as well as the federal death penalty since he can be charged by the DOJ as well.
Seriously, hanging at 5pm today. Let justice be swift.

Him being "intelligent" isn't a surprise. A stupid person wouldn't have been able to pull off the plan successfully.

The only possible aggravating factor that they could argue for the death penalty is putting others in danger of death. That seems a stretch. I’m guessing death penalty (at least for Utah) won’t be in play.

So you’ve been to thousands of churches in America and have found them all guilty? You sound like a democrat throwing crap at the wall to see if it sticks. You have a personal problem with churches and trying to demonize them here is sad.
I've been attending church weekly since I was born. I believe in the role churches play as described in the Bible. They are important. They are also not perfect. I go to a super conservative church in the South. I don't have any "personal" problems with church. I think the problem with America is a Jesus/church problem. I wish more people would regularly attend church and not just say "prayers sent" without meaning it. I wish more people would turn to Jesus. That doesn't change what I've observed in the last 5 years.
A whole slew of churches in conservative areas bent the knee to BLM and George Floyd's death and have remained silent on Charlie Kirk's assassintaion publicly.

I agree. The single shot is going to make that difficult

Because the evidence is so overwhelming. If he pleads guilty he can hope that figures into the penalty phase and hope for slight leniency. If he forces them to go to trial, he will definitely get the death penalty. I honestly don’t think America will accept less than an execution.
