You have inadvertently identified a common hypocrisy. The women attacked the boy and stole his hat specifically because they despised Trump.
In the case you cited whether this individual was a Trump enthusiast is irrelevant. I am not excusing his actions, but I am sick and god damned tired of the deplorable and despicable media constantly identifying persons who may act improperly as Trump supporters or some other connection to a conservative group. The sycophantic liberal media never applies the same connections to those arrested who may be involved in Antifa or BLM or any other left wing connection.
