People are terrible... but there ARE things authorities can do to attempt to minimize risks to the most vulnerable and precious among us. When they fail to do that in the course of being "enlightened", it puts children at a greater risk than they otherwise would be. That is wrong. Period.

2 of the 3 right off you could apply to heterosexuals as well. The first one you say is out there. You mean the data is out there that proves homosexuals are more likely to sexualy prey on minors than hetero sexuals? Anecdotally I ve heard that and its certainly an opinion of many on this board but I'd be interested if there is any actual data proving that point .

Now, heterosexual men tend to do the same, albeit not necessarily to the same fanatical degree... I don't think heterosexual people, men or women, were into the bath house scene or the scenes that have since gone more underground. Gay sex is hypersexuality to an enormous degree.
Chasing youth isn't the same as fricking an infant to death... my point is if you add up the "points" of unsuitability for adoption- add them up honestly- two gay men would never be given a child to raise or abuse.

Is that more of cultural thing or strictly related to sexual orientation? For example there is shift among gays to desire more monogamous relationships...maybe because they can be more open about now...
I would agree that generally speaking. a man and woman make for a better parental dynamic than two men or two women... but if its a choice bt being batted around the foster care system ( shitnload of abuse happes there) and a properly vetted homosexual couple I dont think the homosexual couple should be dismissed out right just because of.their sexual orientation.

Causation or Correlation? End result is the same.
I don't believe that shift is as big of a shift as you think.
Speaking of end results, placing children into settled marital homes comprised of a man and a woman, preferably of the same race and culture often leads to the best results. Not 100%. But we owe the vulnerable the best shot available. Period.
This isn't about what considerations or accommodations the adult/s deserve but about what is in the best interest of every child.
I will not compromise on this.
