It’s wild. I go to an Evangelical Southern Baptist Church in rural Tennessee and I can remember a couple of years ago our Pastor telling us we should be more like the Muslims because they are so devoted to prayer. Context matters

I would like to listen to the full context of this quote.
Edit: it really doesn’t even matter if he contradicted himself on the beauty of the country. The overall point is that anyone who is intellectually honest can understand that he clearly has made a distinction between the government and the people.
I can say I hate the government of California while also saying that I love the people of California.

One group is completely in favor of mass deportations and the other now has backed off that completely.
One side was all in favor of massive corruption investigations using state of the art techniques and eliminating government waste and the other side abandoned that within months with virtually nothing achieved in terms of spending cuts.
One side was appalled at the Epstein situation and demanded accountability the other side flat out told anyone who would listen that if you wanted that you couldn’t be part of his coalition.
So yes, one side is in favor of everything Trump campaigned on in 2024 and the other side is attacking them for it.

Gavin is competent?
The problem is that his goals which are the Democratic Party goals are not a fit for most of the US.
He can clearly work those goals and get the result he needs for his party’s support.
Neither he nor the democrats care they’re shitty goals for pretty much everyone not in a high density urban area. We aren’t their voter base, a simple “who won which county” map with 85% of the country red shows that plainly enough.

Good lord, reading the comments from this gave me a completely inaccurate impression. Stop misrepresenting. There was nothing terribly inaccurate or wrong about what Tucker stated, nothing. Trump is 80, he's in the twilight of life, that's just a fact of life. Newsome is more competent, but evil. I agree more than not with what was stated.
