During one of Erdogans previous tantrums the news talking heads said we should pull out the base we have there. The military advisor on the segment laughed and said "Why"?

The news people said Erdogan would close the base. The military guy asked them "How exactly would he close a base that had a contract and agreement to be there?"

Erdogan is not going to attack our base or his arse will be laying under the rubble of whatever building he was hiding in.

(Also when you check the spellcheck for Erdogan it comes up with "underdog". )

Why have we yoked our self to a country which doesn’t even have an ambassador to the United States? I don’t know, but yay NATO!

Does that mean we’re kicking them out of NATO.

Erdogan is doing this because he has elections coming up, not because he actually gives a shite.

Also, those of you rejoicing, I understand. frick Turkey. But unfortunately due to Turkeys’ geopolitical influence the last thing we need is to be giving them an excuse to become cozier with Russia.

The Boshporous is the only thing keeping Russia from absolutely free access to the seas.

Turkey has been the wildcard in Syria. They’ve shot down Russian planes, but also ethnicly cleansed Kurds from some areas. They seem to be attempting to annex a wide swath of northwest Syria.

In all fairness, he probably was thinking of the UN.
