I think everything just shifted left a notch. She didn't come to the right, the political wheel turned. Now conservatives are default far right. We are on the edge of extremists for wanting the 1A, 2A and being pro life. Small government is now anti government.

What’s sad is she is more republican than half the republicans on the hill.
I'm not sure how something like this would be gauged, but I doubt it's true. She's diametrically opposed to intervening abroad for the fun and dollars of it, and today (and oddly) that's a mortal sin on the Left - but my guess is she's pretty far left of nearly all Republican members of congress on pretty much all other issues.
How effective Republicans are is a different story, and I also agree that conservative voters keep fricking up by electing representatives that are more politician than conservative.

Actually, lol-I agree that she's a Lefty but she is in complete alignment with the non-interventionist wing of the conservative/Libertarian movements. She is an anti-neocon in this regard and that's where we all latch onto her. That's a pretty gigantic thing. It's like why bash Glenn Greenwald on gun policy or trans this or that when we are aligned with him on this other major thing. It's politics and if you want a governing majority you have to find common cause as much as possible. Here I am smoking a Pall Mall:

Jesus Christ STFU. You act as is you are privy to some super secret info. We all know who/what she is.
She tends to be libertarian on certain issues, that is all.

Avoid. she is a WEF young global leader. Just like trudeau. She is a commie trying to sound reasonable. Like beto recently.

Shape-Shifter Tulsi, never to be trusted.

Exactly! She also provides a beautiful beard for all those pinko republicans that everyone around here loves to hate. Until it comes time to vote, of course.
Ask yourself why the republican establishment would endorse and promote a marxist/socialist democrat. If you can't figure it out, maybe you are part of the problem.

We have a lot of stupid people in the Republican Party.
Tulsi Gabbard is worthless fricking trash just like all Democrats.

The only thing I trust a politician to do, is whatever it takes to get re-elected. This requires them to bend to the will of the people to garner votes. Is she the second coming of Ronald Reagan? Not even close, not even close to Mitt Romney, but this is a sign that at least some politicians are aware that the people are getting tired of this leftist BS, and if they wish to remain relevant, they will push the message of the people, even if they don't mean it. If you rely on politicians to take care of you, then you are part of the problem.

Actually no because my whole family was also democrat back the . Obama’s presidency turned us all conservative. That presidency, to us, was when liberals showed their true colors. That was our wake up call and we’ve all voted red since then.

When Tulsi stood on that stage with 20 other communists vying for the nomination, she raised her hand in agreement with all the rest of them.
Her "red pilling" is not complete. She's a straight up Socialist and that won't change.
I admire her disdain towards the MIC, but that's about it. I honestly have no clue why the dumb fricks organizing the CPAC would have even invited her in the first place. Her outspoken criticism of the American Wehrmacht only places her barely to the right of Bernie Sanders.
This is exactly why the middle keeps moving farther and farther to the right. My political views haven't changed much over the last 20 years. I'm a conservative minarchist, registered Independent. 20 years ago, that put me barely on the right side of the middle. Today, it puts me into the "fringe right-wing extremist" category. I didn't change a bit. The middle moved. That's why things like inviting full blown progressives to the CPAC is, IMHO, a huge mistake. The pendulum never swings back to the right as far as it does to the left. The center of gravity is merely shifted to create the illusion that nothing has changed.

quote:I did the same in Texas. I voted in the Dem primary for Obama just to keep that state out of reach for Hillary. In retrospect, not sure Hillary would have been the better choice. I doubt she would have weaponized the government against the citizens the way Obama did. She would have focused on how to build up her nest egg, not some ideological initiative that she's been working on for years as a manchurian candidate.
I voted for her for President. *
* there was an important local race where I needed to vote in the Dem primary. I cast my vote for her for president
