Just looked it up. The GOP lead senate by Thune is keeping DHS funding under "regular" appropriations an not under the purview of reconciliation where it could pass with a simple majority. Under regular order it first has to pass the uniparty protection rule of the filibuster. The modern version of a filibusters requires a cloture vote (60+) to break a filibuster. It became a thing in 1975. Before that filibusters were old school. Senators actually had to work to stop a bill the old way before 1975.

The current version of the filibuster is a uniparty protection racket.

It reads like the first missed paycheck was yesterday. Reports out of Houston too but not sure how bad.

Private security would be much worse.

Like before 9/11.

That may white folks fly in/out of MSY? Flying out of Jxn, MS, I'm usually the only honkey (and person under 350lbs) on the plane.

the ICE violent approach

Incorrect. What you're referring to is "the ICE violent response to being harassed, stalked, assaulted and obstructed."

Thanks to the media carrying the water for the progressives in ignoring how they instigated a lot of that response through all the points I listed above.

Maybe I am. The tariffs were a f’ing joke, the ICE violent approach has worked to divide the country even more, the government continues to shut down including government funded programs, he acts like a f’ing baby, and war is the definition of a failure in politics.

Yeah this response is def that of a libtard. Especially the ice comment. You ain’t fooling anyone.

Nah that’s just a normal line at MSY.
I’ve flown through the new MSY no less than 50 times and I’ve never had much of a wait

Jesus. I just spent the weekend in Florida and both the airports there and in Houston were easy peasy. I wonder why MSY is so bad?

I was in this today. Barely made my flight. Flight was only about 60% full due to people missing the flight. They didn’t wait on anyone.

Connections at functional airports. Can't let the weak link break the chain.

I wonder if you can differentiate the TSA-pre line from the regular line when in the parking garage.

BS. ICE is fully funded for 2026 and maybe even thru 2028 thanks to the big beautiful bill. It’s the rest of DHS being held hostage by the Dems. Things like TSA, Coast Guard, and so on. Dems would not end the recent full shutdown unless DHS (they kept saying it was about not funding ICE) was funded separately from the rest of the deal to end the full govt shutdown as it was just starting. They have been and still are filibustering any vote in the Senate to fund the rest of DHS (besides the already fully funded ICE).

The below are either working without pay, working shorthanded, or not working due to Dems holding funding hostage because of ICE while ICE isn’t affected by their filibuster that is causing the partial shutdown.

TSA taking their time and being extra diligent because the country is under domestic threat related to the ongoing wars in Europe and middle east / north Africa.

Glad these guys are fully staffed and on duty in this time of need
