Absolutely.

However, the angst is often inflated by false info here, like Harvards DEI program.

I've seen it up close, Asians dominate the school.

I wouldnt trust any doctor completely.

Also, acquiescing to a medical authority figure based on their race or country of origin is beyond stupid

Last week my 84 year old neighbor was feeling bad for a few days so he goes to the clinic. The NP checks him out, does an X-ray and tells him he has some fluid in the lower portion of his left lung. She tells him to go by the pharmacy and get some Mucinex. The next day he's in the emergency room, stays in the hospital for 3 days with
pneumonia, on a heavy drip of antibiotics

Do you live next door to my parents?

Only somewhat joking, exactly same scenario happened to my 84-year-old father about two months ago at St. Luke’s right off the Plaza.

Fortunately, my sister, who’s a former trauma & surgical nurse and still in the healthcare profession, went down there and raised holy hell with his cardiologist on the other end of the line. His cardiologist is like get the frick out of there and meet me at Overland Park Regional and he was on a drip and home in 48 hours.

Coincidentally, my neighbor was admitted to St Lukes off of Barry Road.

Maybe so. What word would you use to describe people who contribute nothing but live off the work (and money) of others?

Which morals support the idea of gleefully taking from others at every opportunity?

There are great doctors of all races but I have to think this way because DEI means if it’s a white guy then he made it in spite of DEI policies so he must be exceptionally good at his job.

Exactly. I feel like a traitor for not wanting a female doctor, but I reason that a white man has to be exceptional to make it into medical school past the DEI gauntlet. Facts > feelings, especially where my life is concerned.

I’ve been saying this for a while. It’s going to get to the point that many abandon traditional healthcare and search for alternatives. Not to mention the other areas their incompetence has ruined.

I just posted it in another thread, but it bears repeating…

Western Civilization has two choices:

1. Eradicate the cancer of the leftist progressive (actually Marxist) movement by whatever means necessary.

2. Accept the destruction of Western Civilization.

There are no other choices.

Because...NP. Their training the last 20 years has been a joke.

So I have no problem being seen by an Indian doctor.

I used to date an East Indian chick from Missouri that had a PhD and was high up at the local state health department. Her parents had emigrated to the United States when her mother was recruited out of nursing school during the nursing shortage in the 70's. They only hired the top 5% of graduates. She was an RN in Oklahoma for 32 years. Very nice people.

Anyway, we were sitting around one night and they were sharing stories about the racist crap they had to deal with in the medical field in Oklahoma.

The mother said that she would occasionally get the 'I want an AMERICAN NURSE!' crap from an older patient. She always had to accept it but would occasionally send over the least competent, rookie nurse to the room.

Sorry about that catheter issue, sir, but at least she has blond hair and blue eyes!! Ha!

I always hear people talk about DEI. I don’t know one person who who’s benefited from that stuff. My son got a 513 on his MCAT and he could not get into medical school. He never tried to capitalize on being brown, but if this push for DEI was real, they would’ve picked him up anyway. Keep pushing these fairy tales.

Sorry to hear that your son couldn't get into medical school.

But the data on DEI is what it is.

This is from 2013-2016. I can only imagine what the same chart would look like in the post-George Floyd years.

I have stated this before.

in 2019 My mother had open heart surgery and had to go into long term care.

I would not wear my Trump T shirt into either hospital because I was afraid that she would not be given the appropriate care because of it.

Oh wait until I tell you about the dentist I had...

Young Black girl who looked no more that 15.. Had her own clinic... All her female staff fell over themselves to call her Doctor, Doctor.

She pulled the wrong tooth... Her place closed with 6 months.
