If college graduates can't find a job, they made a poor choice either in the degree selection and/or going to college in general. That's on them. They should have learned to code, right? They signed and promised to repay the loan. The loaning institution fulfilled their responsibility, now it is time for the borrowers to fulfill their responibilities. If they can't final a "professional" job, they need to find an "unprofessional" job and pay their dam loans back.

Absolutely there is. It's complaining about every stinking thing someone does because you don't like them. Ignoring all of the great things you're getting because you didn't get everything.

You could write an article saying "Bernie Sanders' tax plan would bring in revenue and reduce the debt!" No shite, if you tax people, it's government revenue. That doesn't make it a good thing

MAGA and Bernie are not that far apart on economic issues. He's a dumbass populist too and loves taxing and spending, like MAGA

I dont. In fact Trump is decent at foreign policy when he's not listening to warhawks.

Youre not interested in politics. Youre only interested in the cult of personality that is Trumpism.

Issues dont matter, that orange buffoon can accept Bernies platform and you people would celebrate it.

?? Did you know that the tech industry is struggling massively?

I never understood the "learn to code" trope. We need workforce with more than one skillset.

What are your expectations for Congress to pay back the trillions they borrow? Do they just get to continue to take 5-week recesses and get paid while you tell unemployed 24 year old work at McDonald's?

What about the executive who proposed the deficit spending? Does he get to continue to waste our money painting the White House gold and make us pay for him to golf on his own golf courses while you scold unemployed 20-somethings?

Our tax dollars are going to countries that not only do we fund their national defense, but those countries get free healthcare and college education. How fricked up is that?

And their new mothers aren't expected to go back to work the same day they give birth.

Let's not get too dramatic.

On this issue, isn't 6 weeks the rule for working moms? I think a lot of companies give 12 weeks. That's what my wife did with her small business. She allowed 12 weeks for maternity leave. But I understand that it is a lot easier for small business to be much more flexible than big corporations.

Nah, at the political level our system is overrun with self-serving financial illiterates who don't understand the destructive power of inflation and compounding interest. They use their position to enrich and empower themselves with no concern about the impact of their policies on the US economy. Most of them don't know that they're killing the dollar and are blissfully ignorant of the implications for the future.

I'm sure there are powerful people who know where this is heading, but I have no idea what they're thinking. As long as the price level of the stock market (valued in dollars) continues to inflate, everybody seems happy.

You're right. They are only expected to go back to work if they want to get paid.

There is no rule. FMLA says that an employer cannot fire a woman for taking unpaid leave for up to 12 weeks, but there is no standard for paid maternity leave. It varies by state and employer. I've gotten 8 weeks paid, 12 weeks paid and 0 hours paid respectively when I had each of my babies.

You mean buying votes, but don't really care. Also, this policy doesn't care about the majority of hard working people who didn't sign the loan documents. Taking away accountability of a person and giving them free money is not truly helping them.

Are you capable of posting anything other than trolls? Like do you ever actually engage in political discussion on this political discussion board? You come here solely to insult strangers and post emojis.
