I’m all for reducing taxes but not a big fan of saying some people’s income is tax exempt and some people’s isn’t.

Someone actually suggested this to him on a recent podcast. He said that he had never heard anyone suggest something like that and it was an interesting idea and that he would definitely give it some thought. He didn’t just wake up and it come to him on the shitter..

Your bias is showing.
I'm alright with fewer and fewer being taxed on income incrementally. Reduce waste in the government and offset the reduced taxes. My guess is you probably think the rich don't pay their fair share but you can always overlook the spending side of the equation.

Up until 1913, there weren't any income taxes on our average citizens.
It kind of makes sense that paying people with tax money and then charging them income tax taking back some of that is like a shell game. Now if they have side income, that's a different matter.
