Once again.

Explain to me how mocking the Pope by substituting himself as Jesus isn’t also mocking Christians and Christianity who also follow Jesus.

He's pissed off about the Pope criticizing the Iranian conflict. He doesn't have much respect for the Pope (ANY Pope). Nor should he.

I think the 25th Amendment is going to be invoked before we’re all said and done with it. No way we make it 3 more years at this rate.

If he wants a holy war the Catholics are the only ones who’ve ever done that and won. Repeatedly.

Saying that Trump supporters consider him an "idol" is pretty frickin stupid. Those of us who support the guy typically pay really close attention to him and are well aware of his faults. We just value the good things he does more than we are concerned with those faults.

Is crazy work.

You’re one of a handful of people that would defend anything that he does - this thread is Exhibit A. To say you’re aware of his faults implies you’ve ever even found one.

I don’t even care anymore. Y’all want to frick around? Give the Dems power in the midterms and invoke the 25th. These loony fricks are electing straight up communist all across the country. They’re not hiding it anymore.

10 years from now, you pussies will be begging for a Trump presidency.

More pointless crying from the TDS crowd.

Trump loves trolling you people, and you fall for every single time. You just can't control yourselves.

I don't know, man. I don't think this has anything to do with Trump's religious beliefs (if he actually has any).

He's just literally incapable of not retaliating in response to criticism.

His ego is so fragile it's remarkable.

I didn't vote for Trump at all in the primaries because I think populism is the greatest long term threat to America and because of his personal character flaws like this one. (I did vote for him in the general when my choices were Trump—whom I agree with roughly half of the time—and some Democrat ninny whom I disagree with literally 100% of the time.)

But even though I cast my primary votes elsewhere for exactly this reason, I'm still amazed at how far he will take stuff like this and just how childish he will act. It's junior high-level insult nonsense and it seems like there's no limit to it. Every time I think he's reached the outer limits of how childish the most powerful man in the world can act, he exceeds that barrier.

We can't control ourselves?

I just want you to take the time to form a mental picture of Trump—who is at war right now...AT WAR—spending time with some staffer to give him or her instructions on exactly what he wants his Messianic image to look like in this internet troll project. In order for that to exist, that had to have happened. He had to call a meeting with some staff member or members to give instructions for this.

We're at war and he's making the time to fricking online troll the Pope (and no, I don't care how little time it took).

Who is it that cannot help themselves again?

I’m starting to think he might actually give the order to drop a nuke before he’s officially labeled a failure for this war.

I've begun to get uneasy about Trump myself.

Not necessarily that he'll drop a nuke (although I wouldn't rule it out), but that he might really be planning on doing some of the crazy stuff he's talked about doing about which MAGA said, "Are you silly? He's just trolling."

Annexing Canada. Greenland. Not leaving office and staying for a third term.

I wouldn't have even believed it enough to feel uneasy before Venezuela and now Iran. And I believe in American hegemony...I'm not theoretically opposed to punching Iran in the face.

But there's something about the way he's been doing these things that makes me uneasy, and depicting himself as Jesus doesn't help that uneasiness.

Sometimes I feel like we're watching a guy start to believe his own hype before our very eyes. And THIS particular guy believing his own hype is very dangerous.
