As expected, the MAGA bros have put their leotards on and started doing flips. The WSJ isn't credible because "muh anonymous sources," but if it's true, it's a good thing because this has been Trump's strategy all along!
I think Obtuse said it well: removing the regime is a good thing but the method has been less than ideal. Kicking an ant pile then telling everyone else to get the Strait opened if they care so much would be bad business. We've painted ourselves into a corner where we insist that we're in control and all of the IRGC is at the bottom of the sea, yet somehow they're finessing ships for a bounty to cross safely.

The admin. could be using MSM in this case to see how markets would respond.
But, I do think there are leaks from objectors at times:
(1) I know you'll say fake news, but there were like three reports that Caine was advising against this.
(2) We have seen multiple stories now that JD is the opposition in these matters. It's entirely possible that is meant to give him political cover as the anti-war guy.

Mate, we are in week 5 now, with possibly no good end in sight. The panicans are starting to look right. I hoped DJT could pull a rabbit out of hat because of what happened in June. That does not appear to be the case.

This is a short sighted view on the entire world trading system. COGS will go up on all imports and the price of oil is speculative, so it's going to stay high for a while even if we are energy independent.
