So sorry corp, 90proof, etc etc... all of our globalist. We tried to tell you when you bragged about how you just knew he would fold.
Not happening gents. Unless the trade agreement is fair.... we will not sign on to it.

What's funny is eventually he will get them to redo TPP and make it favorable to the US and sign it, and the want brigade and never trumpers will gloat about Trump caved, completely ignoring that he had the whole deal changed.

Several problems with joining TPP:
1) Trump has to save face
2) It would be a good decision
3) Pelosi who is a trumpkin ally on trade could easily be speaker, very soon
4) TPP isn't being reworked just because we bailed on it in the home stretch
So it's not likely we're able to rejoin it anyway.
I do appreciate that the administration at least appears to have realized that our leverage against China is greatly diminished without it though.
Also as always, I appreciate the tears of melt about me personally that y'all have provided without me even asking. Big ups to Beefense in particular.

Why in the world would it be advantageous to reduce US influence amongst those countries to 1/12th a voice? Further, our differences for example with China and Vietnam regarding currency manipulation and intellectual property are entirely different than with Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Japan. The TPP would minimize or render impossible targeted agreements in those areas. Poor enforceability meant the US was likely to work within bulky treaty constraints, while China/Vietnam would not. Obama knew the TPP was weak. That's why he never brought it to Congress for debate.
