Politically he may be correct. Morally he’s a big pussy.

Morally speaking abortion is killing a baby at ANY point.

Conception to natural death, life is preschools and should be protected.

We going with the very early stages of Covid? An unprecedented event in modern times?

How about trumps flip flop? Any opinions? How about him going after the very conservative abortion bill we have in Florida? Wanna pile on that with Trump?

Well at least Trump made it clear he is Pro Choice. I mean 4 months PLUS exceptions isn't remotely Pro Life. You can twist that any way you like but that is what he is saying, that's what, 17/18 weeks?

Well it could be the 12th week or the 16th week.

where are you getting 17/18 in your math?

He talks about the 5th Month. That means that the 4th Month would be ok with him. 4.3 weeks per month.

Then why is Trump talking about it? At least I think that’s what he meant when he said that he could get something both sides would like.
But with Trump you never know.

No where in that lengthy diatribe does he mention the most important thing about Dobbs, that is gave it back to the states to decide. Trump is opening the door wide open for it to be a Federal issue because he thinks he can "make everyone happy". The level of political incompetence of that is disqualifying by itself.

The thing about abortion is people who vote on abortion are on one side or the other. The people who are in the middle don't really vote on abortion unless MAYBE it is all or none. For the most part though they just care about other issues far more. Trump is trying to appeal to people who don't care much about abortion and pissing off the people on both sides who vote on abortion.

I am enjoying listening to Trumpsters tell us how brilliant he is with this strategy and how they agree thinking that this fixes the problem instead of just making it a lot worse. The smart choice was to say this is a state issue and he is Pro Life and talk about his accomplishments in that arena. Instead he just shot himself in the foot and since he won't admit a mistake he is reloading.

This is what drove me crazy in his first term. The inability to excercise some sort of message discipline. And it wouldn’t bother me if he just hurt himself, but he’s hurting the whole country when he’s like that.
That is why we’ve been stuck with Biden.

Ron pecker licker. You are just one of those political football fans that picks your team and not worried about the way the country is headed. You just want to be proven right. Sounds like you'd fit well on TikTok.

Don't forget we can't call him out on his mistake. Nope, we need to come up with some looney logic that he's actually brilliant and didn't just say something stupid and double down on it.

It's ok, people make mistakes. It's just if you don't recognize them you can't fix them. Trump thinks admitting mistakes is a weakness but the bigger weakness is not correcting them.

Trump is not your problem. You better worry about the future. But, you are unable to think that advanced. You are someone that thinks with your emotions. You are very weak.

So question… we all know Florida has a new bill at like 6 weeks. What are we doing for babies who have the misfortune to be conceived in California? They deserve a chance too

I don’t catalog every opinion, mensa. Making excuses for Trump’s picks based on getting permission from Mitch is VERY common here. I could have gone the Trumpanzee route and just insinuated that you all think the same; something along the lines of this common macro:

Trump is totally responsible for SCOTUS picks but not at all responsible for his shifty cabinet picks. — Trumptards

Is that preferable?

All that from me pointing out that we started Trump’s term with both houses and ended it with neither. Impressive, but not in a good way.

Without the exceptions it is very difficult to win elections is why the right is just the left driving the speed limit.

Just about everywhere has the exceptions. Everyone has Life of the Mother which has never been a question. A few don't have rape. Life or extreme health risks to the mother is the only legal way in Texas. Republicans expanded their wins in '22 and the state is continuing to grow. We are getting some looney lefties to move back to Blue States though.

The irony of course is the Left will talk about how rare 3rd Trimester abortions are so they shouldn't count yet rape abortions are just as rare if not moreso.

I agree with rape up until 15 weeks. At that point the kid is almost viable and the woman chose not to abort. Viability now is around 22 weeks and technology continues to drop that number. UAB delivered a baby at 21 weeks that survived not long ago. Amazing At some point that kid has the right to live.

In reality the Florida Bill, 6 weeks with exceptions, is a very fair compromise. It limits elective abortions severely as it should. Women should have a very limited right to abort a baby with no reason other than convenience if they engaged in consensual sex. That's a baby and they chose to take that risk, they can always give it up for adoption.

How in the hell is that his problem? You cannot make everyone happy ALL the time. If you do things the right way, most likely you will not be elected again. I wish others would take this into consideration and hold on.

You have to give up office in order to do the right thing because the right thing is not going to be popular today.
