You want to know what's crazy....what doesn't make sense?

A majority of Americans who voted in the 2020 GE and 2022 midterms believe the government handled Covid-19 properly. They believed the government's Covid-19 guidance was proper, they wore the masks, they observed social distancing, they took the MRNA Juice and the boosters but these same people didn't support Trump and it was under Trump's presidency the Covid-19 vaccines were delivered. A majority of Americans were confident the Covid-19 vaccines were going to greatly reduce the spread and deaths from Covid-19. I think it's obvious the majority of the 81 million Biden voters did not attribute any of the government's Covid-19 policies or the delivery of the MRNA Juice vaccines to Trump because if they did a significant number should have voted for Trump.....Trump should have been considered a hero by the Covidians....there was obviously a disconnect.

All the revisionist history in this thread is shite.

If Trump's hands were tied re: firing Fauci, why did he give him an award after he had already lost the election?
If Trump's hands were tied re: opening back up, why did he publicly criticize Kemp for opening up too soon? Is Kemp a more courageous man than Trump then?
Nothing about all the COVID spending and the attacks he made on anyone who disagreed with him? Attacks on people like Massie? Don't pretend like he was only doing what he needed to when he was frequently the one to go on the offensive.

Trump was absolutely dealt a shite hand but regardless he did not play the situation well at all.

I thought Trump!s performance at the time was pretty phenomenal.

Restricted travel in Feb 2020
Proposed hydroxychloriquine and ivermectin were effective in March 2020
Emergency manufacturing of ventilators
Allowed the states to determine lockdown requirements
Followed general recommendations of the nations experts
Fast-tracked what was hoped to be successful vaccines
Enlisted military ships for extra medical facilities on east and west coasts
Saved small business with PPP program

Of course, he was thwarted and flanked at every one of these turns, but in the moment, so many of the decisions were the right decisions.

Nothing worse than a Monday morning quarterback.

The private sector provided ventilators

Nah. Trump built all of them and personally drove them to the hospitals.

All Trump did was throw a bunch of money at the private sector and told them "go for it".

This. He also bitched at Desantis for opening back up "because it's making me look bad"

He really needs to fricking stop talking about this.

At a minimum, he should drop some caveats...

Knowing what we know now, sure, there are some things that could have and probably should have been done differently, but based in the information that was being provided to me, I think our response was overall a good one.

He means everyone involved. Fauci was given a medal by Trump for his work on covid.
