If the goal is to make amends for the Jesus AI image controversy, the most direct causal argument would be to quote the Gospels (the New Testament). By avoiding them, he effectively sidesteps the figure he allegedly "disrespected" in the Truth Social post.
It is incongruous - how can you try to make amends with your Christian-heavy base by reading Jewish text and ignoring the Christian gospel?

You have been reduced to claiming that Trump totally is a Christian, he just happens to be the sort of Christian who doesn't ask God for forgiveness, doesn't attend church, can't name a Bible verse, ran casinos, sold vodka with his name on it, cheated on all three of his wives (including cheating on the third wife with a prostitute while she was pregnant), and generally lives his life in direct opposition to everything found in the Beatitudes.

I can't decide which is sadder: thinking that Trump actually wrote that statement, or thinking that this sort of thing is what makes someone a Christian.
