It will be interesting to compare the reaction in the "Tim Scott will run for president" thread from months ago to the response now after Daddy passed out the script

"Ohh yeah I always liked Tim Scott. Would be a great choice for Trumps VP"

This would indicate, much like Nikki Haley, GOB will not spend an additional minute thinking about Tim Scott beyond this statement.

I am staying with Trump, but he needs to lay off DeSantis who is a great Gov and true conservative. He needs to understand that he is turning some Republicans off with the negativity toward other Republicans. In the end he needs to be uniter for the party, not a divider.

Isn't this just the bigotry of low expectations?

A real alpha would want to see if he'd win when it's just 1-on-1 as opposed to a field almost entirely full of people who will peel away support from his main competition.

If Trump has the nomination locked up, then surely he wouldn't be afraid of clearing the field so it's just him and Ron, right?

I wish Trump would stop attacking Cruz/Rubio/Paul and the other true conservatives! He went to Hillary Clinton’s wedding! He will never be President!

It is an odd phenomenon that none of the other candidates are attacking the front runner who is up quite large, and are all attacking Desantis, who isn't declared (with the exception of Christie who I assume will attack Trump).

Very odd that everyone is running for Cabinet and not serious at all about running for the Presidency.

He's already spent more attacking a primary challenger that hasn't announced than he did on the mid terms. It's obvious what's going on right now.

Hmm...what if Trump asked them all to come in to attack Ron? Sounds very establishment-y by trying to engineer the primary. Sounds like an alliance.

I mean, that's what we heard in 2016 when all of these candidates would complain about Trump. It was an establishment-y plan back then.

Desantis....look at the faces of his security detail.
They're security. How the hell else would you expect them to look?

Hopefully all of these candidates drop out so we get to see who the real man is when it's just Trump and DeSantis.

No one that is 'seriously' in the race is dropping out before Iowa. It will be over by South Carolina.

Its possible, but I doubt it.

The field is a lot of people not even currently in office.

Its people who know they have ZERO chance of winning so are playing the odds, they want to be in Trump's cabinet.

He is focusing on winning against his main competition in the primary so that he can turn his focus to winning the general election?

He's scared of going 1-on-1 against Ron. That's why he has been making shite up to try and get Ron to not run since October and hasn't criticized Vivek, Nikki, Tim Scott, etc.

If he were an alpha and has the nomination in the bag, he would clear the field so it's just him and Ron.

I'm a Trump supporter and I don't pretend to hate Tim Scott.

I mean, hate is a strong thing and therefore I try not to hate at all, but that's beside the point. I'll just say strongly dislike, although that's the textbook definition of hate.

I strongly dislike Tim Scott and I won't pretend otherwise. Would be a mistake for Trump to pick him up as his running mate. At this point, I'm all-in on hopes that Trump picks no one other than Ric Grinell.

Never imagined I’d see Trump so scared of another man. Ron has him trembling.

If he's so tough then he should tell everyone to get out so it's just him and Ron.
