I understand why he wants to do this. Rebuilding Gaza for the Palestinians will just result in them attacking Israel again in the future.
However, kicking them out with the US taking it over is just involving us deeply in ME affairs again with a huge target on us for the radical nutjobs.
Don't like this.

We are 37 trillion in debt and have major issues here in America. I just find this to be a hard sell of investing Billions for Israel's benefit. It's not like Americans are going to be benefiting from this

Don't care this isn't our problem and I don't want 1 drop of American blood shed or $1 spent on that shithole.
And even if you got this plan to work there still wouldn't be peace there to make it a resort type area etc. There will always be terrorism since some will always see it as land being stolen from Muslims.
