Trump's plan of action with China worked. There is not really room for debate. Businesses were pulling out. Jobs were moving back here.
It was all documented in real time.

No it did not.
Inflation - monthly average
2017: 2.1%
2018: 2.5%
2019: 1.8%
2020: 1.2%
That's from a leftist fact checker too. They fact checked:
Inflation rate:
2017 Trump – 1.7%
2018 Trump – 1.65%
2019 Trump – 1.7%
2020 Trump – 1.4%

You obviously have not examined the actual shipments post Covid.
Trumps true “plan of action” in China did in fact work—the first couple of years after phase 1 US multinationals invested hundreds of billions in China. It was as you say “documented in real time.”

If Trump is swamp, why does the swamp try so hard to ensure that he is under constant scrutiny and not elected?

The pace of investment of private US capital in China increased dramatically under Trump. $97 billion invested in 2016 to over $120 billion invested annually in 2021 in spite of the Chinese covid shutdown.

So that he can play the forever victim and keep his cult fighting a losing battle for him.

According to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis , total US goods and services imports from China in 2022 were $564 billion; in 2018 they were only $558 billion.
The trade war as explained to America was all smoke and mirrors that the cultists swallowed hook, line and sinker.

You obviously think that post Covid matters. He is not the president. Aspects of his policies have been removed.
quote:
After almost 1.5 years of the U.S.-China trade war, some cracks are starting to show in the commitment of U.S. companies to their China operations. In mid-2019 as well as in mid-2020, around 15 percent of companies surveyed said that they were moving at least part of their operations out of China. Moving back to the U.S. was the less popular option. More companies said they were moving “elsewhere”, the most popular destinations being Thailand and Mexico according to the U.S.-China Business Council.
While in 2019, 17 percent of companies said they had reduced or stopped planned investments in China, that number rose to 24 percent in 2020. The trade war was still the most cited reason for investment reduction this year

I know you cultists are blind to criticism of Trump but I am telling you that trade war was about ending forced partnerships and intellectual property rights in China. I know that from my own first hand research and participation in the 301 hearings. The huge and continued increase in investments in China by US banks and multinationals after the 2019 phase 1 deal demonstrate the impact of the deal.

JJDOCblowhard can not point to a single post of mine “defending all things China.”
He too ignores facts and numbers when those things challenge his engrained perceptions of his god Trump.

More than 50 major companies, from Apple to Nintendo, pull production from China because of the trade war
2019.
Like I said, his plan worked.
2019.
quote:
More than 50 multinational corporations have announced plans to move manufacturing out of China, or are considering to do so, according to reporting from the Nikkei Asian Review. Apple, Google, Nintendo and Dell, among others, are trying to avoid the import penalties on $250 billion in Chinese goods.
Like I said, his plan worked.
